Spy On Your Visitors With Video And Learn Their Actions!

If you own a blog or website, it would be a very good thing if you could actually see in "video" what your visitors are doing. Their every move. Clicks, page views, how far they scroll down the page, how long they are on each page, what they had for dinner(just kidding) and even each direction they move their mouse. This isn't just for some entertainment purposes. But you can easily use this to determine the best places to put ads and actually improve your site. Your goal is to keep visitors on your site, and keep them reading or checking out what you have to offer.

Here's something cool that I had totally forgotten about. I tried out this service about 4 months ago on one of my older sites (don't worry, I'm not spying on you right now). It's called ClickTale. It's basically like a Google Analytics except you can view it all in video to see the visitors behavoir. And yes there's a free version, but you might want to upgrade if you want to record more than 100 visitors a week (400 a month).

How Does ClickTale Work?

There is no software to be installed on your server. After signing up, you're privided a small piece of Javascript code to place into each page of your website that you want recordings to take place at. When a visitor accesses your website with that code installed, it sends data to ClickTale's servers to be processed and is then turns them into movies. You can log in at anytime to view them.

Subscription Plans

I can't really comment on their upgraded plan because I've only tested out the free one. It's definitely something you should check out. it's pretty neat indeed. Also, as far as your sites loading speed after the install of the code, I don't recall any difference. If there is a slight delay then it's probably not enough for you to even notice. Check it out!

    @Dave
    I just checked on Crazyegg real quick and it looks like they allow more recordings for the free version. Write your post. I'm interested to hear more and would read it :)
