Am I blind? ...looking for a "new posts" option. 8 Months, 1 Week ago
I like the forum software this site is run on but I have a few comments and questions:

1) The editor is a bit clunky compared to other forum software (anyone else notice this?)

2) I'm always searching for a "new posts" or "new threads" button (since my last visit)... Is there one? ...or am I blind?

You know, This would be a great forum software but it lacks a few things. It isn't old enough or has had much time to get everything just right.

Here's a few of the problems with it:

SEO - This realyyyy a big deal for me, and this software isn't very search engine friendly although I've spent many hours tweaking it and modifying it the best I can. Main SEO problems include page titles, meta tags, nofollow tags should be applied to reply buttons and things like that.

Banning users - Can't do it. I can delete though

Personal messaging - This software didn't come with it so I had to modify it with a module to get our PM system.

The things you mention above - But there is an option to say latest posts which is at the bottom. I don't publish it because I think it weighs down the forum more. I could be wrong.. Should I publish it and see if it makes a difference to you guys?

For now, I'm gonna continue to tweak it to the best of my ability. As of right now the forum just "gets the job done". Down the road(could be soon who knows) I'm gonna try to convert all my members and all of our posts over to vbulletin. I'm just not sure how hard it will be with the database. I don't want to lose anything!

What do you think about the loading speed? Slow? Fast? Normal?

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that there's a "show latest posts" link at the top of the forum right next to your "my profile" link. Since we have that I think it's useless to have the latests posts showing at the bottom of the forum which slows down loading speed.

Other than SEO issues and a few missing features, i think it's good software
