Our Amazing Universe - Galaxies and Stars Videos 8 Months, 1 Week ago
I'm absolutely obsessed with the universe and it's greatness. Here's a couple videos that amaze me.

This first video is a deep zoom inside the andromeda galaxy - This is the closest galaxy to our own Milky Way. The video shows a black hole with young blue stars swirling around it. It amazes me how the strong forces of the black hole don't suck up the stars or rip them apart.

This video is a simulation of the Milky Way Galaxy and Andromeda actually colliding. The collision is calculated to happen in 3 billion years. I have no idea where humanity will be by then but the sun will be extremely hot. The earth may already be cooked by then. Humans may be so advanced that we could relocate to another galaxy! Just think 3 billion more years of evolving.

This video shows you examples of how large stars can actually get. The Earth is a little pebble compared to our huge sun. Our sun is very very big. But wait until you see these other stars compared to our sun(sol). You'll be amazed. Take a moment to pause parts of this video so you can observe the examples better.

Feel free to share other universe videos or dicuss it's amazingness :]

I'm a big fan of the Universe as well! I love to here about the planets and the stars. The Universe has always fascinated me, so much, that when I was younger, I wanted to become an Astronomer. I like to watch Lunar Eclipses, Meteor Showers, see Satelites, view the Planets and the Moon, etc... What I'd really like to see is a Solar Eclipse. They don't happen often in North America. There's supposed to be one on August 21, 2017 I believe. That's about 9 years from now. There's this show on the Science Channel called "The Universe" that's pretty interesting and there's one on the National Geographics Channel called "Naked Science." Naked Science shows a wide variety of different things in science, but they do spend quite some time on the Universe. They talk about some of the threats the Universe poses to us as well, and they talk about Aliens quite often, though I personally don't believe in Aliens. It's interesting to hear about, though.

You don't believe in aliens?? Come on!

I think we can all agree that the human mind can't imagine how big the universe is. There's just no way. Our galaxy is floating through space as well as hundreds of billions of other galaxies. Hell, the human mind can't even comprehend just how big ONE galaxy is!

So out of allllll of the galaxies we'll never know about obviously, and all of those planets in the galaxies - You KNOW there has to be other life out there. I'm 200% positive there's many many different civilizations out there. As big as this place is, we're most certainly not alone. There's probably millions or billions of other different kinds of life just like we have on earth. If life happened here, it happened someone else.

That's understandable. The Universe is endless so it would make sense for there to be other life forms, however, it depends on how you define the term "Alien." I'm talking about the Aliens people say come to there homes, abduct them, and take out undefined specimens from their bodies and implant babies and the like. I don't really believe in those type of Aliens because I've never experienced that. I've actually wished to see Aliens and I've yet to see one. If you define Alien as other life form, then I am more likely to believe that. I believe there are other life forms on some of the Planets we've already discovered and there are more than likely other life forms billions of light years away. The thing is, when I here about other life forms on TV, they describe how they aren't like us. They are very small organisms like in the water and the ground.

I think it's really the perception we get from the movies and TV that leads people to not believe in Aliens becaue you 99% of the time see a being that resembles us, is more intelligent than us, and is violent. If Aliens were really more advanced than us, I'd think they would have come to see us by now. They may be just like us in some far away galaxy trying to find other life as well. According to Stephen Hawking, one of the greatest, if not the greatest scientist in the world "Aliens," however you define the term, pose a serious threat to our Planet and if we were to ever encounter them, it would lead to total annihilation of the human race. That may or may not be true, but he has entire movies and TV shows dedicated specifically to him. He is likely to be correct. Another major problem with this issue is the division between Religion and Science. Religion says God created the Heavens and the Earth and all these life forms on Earth. Science expounds upon the Big Bang Theory. It believes the Earth and everything else in the Universe was created when particles of dust and the like clumped together and planets and other objects began colliding. It talks about how everything used to be lava and how water appeared on our planet. They actually had a series on Naked Science showing how the Universe formedand it is very believable too. I'll get back to you on this topic, though. I've got to leave.
